This model also features a Leak Detection sensor that makes an audible alarm if the heater detects a water leak.
With a 40-gallon (nominal) tank producing 5,500 watts, the EGX-40-DXRS delivers a first hour rating of 54 gallons and a recovery rate of 25 gallons per hour. With an 0.92 Uniform Energy Factor, this water heater has a Leak Detection sensor. It carries a 10-year limited tank warranty.
