Description
This 8 inch double check detector backflow preventer assembly prevents backflow of non-health hazard fire protection system substances from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply. It incorporates 3/4 IN bypass with a cubic feet meter to detect ground leaks and unauthorized illegal taps, greatly reducing annual water expenses. It consists of a fused epoxy coated cast iron body and outside stem and yoke shutoffs. Its modular check design facilitate simple and easy installation and maintenance. The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek, a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion. Maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar).
