Hinged Flange Couplings for Grooved-to-Flanged Connections

Somewhere on most grooved piping jobs, the pipe has to meet something with a bolted flange: a butterfly valve, a pump suction, a strainer. A hinged flange coupling handles that transition. It grips the groove on one side and presents a standard flange face on the other, and the hinge lets the installer swing it around the pipe end instead of threading parts over it.

The Gruvlok 7012 ships with its gasket and goes up to 14". Everflow offers 3" through 6" for smaller runs. Before ordering, check the flange class and bolt pattern of the equipment you are bolting to, because the coupling has to line up with the mating flange hole for hole.

Hinged flanges often sit next to isolation valves, so many buyers add gate valves on the flanged side in the same order. Keep the flange face clean and flat so the gasket seats evenly.
